Murder in the attic
Series of portrait illustrations for the whodunit novel “Murder in the Attic”. This is personal project done in collaboration with my partner in crime Andreia Alves. The plot takes place in a Portuguese vineyard-villa during the 1940s. The heir of a rich family has being murdered and everyone has motifs. A Belgian detective will try to solve the mystery while they’re are locked for the weekend in the property.
The biggest challenge was to keep the consistency across all characters. All done by refining the prompt engineering technique and lots of iterations using the tool Leonardo.
Task
To create a series of realistic and captivating portraits of the main characters in the novel, using generative AI tools and techniques. The portraits should reflect the personality and background of each character and should also match the tone and mood of the novel, which is classic, suspenseful, and thrilling.
